Jongjin Lim, President of NeuroSky Jongjin Lim has been researching neuro technology in Korea since 1999. In 2004, NeuroSky was established in Silicon Valley in the United States. In 2008, as part of the Daedeok Innopolis Overseas Joint Research Project, he became the head of the Brain Science & Technology Application Center at KAIST and continues to maintain close ties with KAIST. His work has received worldwide recognition such as Forbes' World Leading Top 10 Technologies in 2005, CNN's Top 5 Leading World-Changing Technologies in 2006, and the Tech America Award in 2010. He is currently working with top-tier partners like Nintendo, BMW, and Intel on various projects.

Dr. Ryu has over 20 years of leadership and R&D experience from renowned institutions such as Hughes Research Laboratories (HRL), Argon ST, and Boeing. He has played a key role in numerous high-risk, high-return projects and won several industry accolades. Most recently, he has founded EpiSys Science Inc., a cutting-edge R&D start-up which focuses on DoD, NASA and NSF projects in areas such as autonomous unmanned airborne vehicles and wireless cognitive radio networks.

EpiSys Science (EpiSci) is an innovative startup focusing on research, development, and commercialization of state-of-the-art technologies at the intersection of distributed and autonomous control, wireless communications and networking, and reasoning and decision support systems. EpiSci has received over $3.5M in government funding from agencies such as DARPA, Air Force Research Labs and Office of Naval Research since 2012. EpiSci first and foremost pursues cutting-edge research and development deeply rooted on the paradigm of "systems science". By systems science, we refer to an emerging branch of science where individual disciplines of scientific areas are combined in a systematic and scientific manner so as to produce highly synergistic system-oriented solutions for future military applications. Naturally, the core technical strength of EpiSci is the ability to develop disruptive technologies that are interdisciplinary in nature. In particular, EpiSci's interdisciplinary research is founded on the following three major sciences: (i) Network Science (self-organizing wireless Networks, cognitive radio networking, etc.); (ii) Cognitive Science (surprise-based learning, reasoning, decision support, etc.); and (iii) Information Science (adaptive sensing, digital signal processing, distributed systems, software defined radio, etc.). Its ultimate goal is to successfully commercialize R&D developments that will be enjoyed by both consumers and military users alike.

In 2014, Dr. Ryu co-founded TeK One, along with three other Korean-American entrepreneurs, to promote Korean-American startup activities and collaboration between Korean and Korean-American startup entrepreneurs.
